Someone asked me the week before Mother's Day what joys I found in being a mom. There are so many, but I thought it would be good to list some (to look back on during those "off" days).
* The 30 minutes before the boys wake from their nap. I get to sneak into one of their rooms and lay down and cuddle up with them for the last part of their nap.
* Cooper praying right along with me before meals in his "quiet voice".
* Carson FINALLY getting the pooping thing and seeing how big of a deal it is to him!!
* Carson wanting to sit with me a talk in the "cuddle chair".
* Cooper grabbing me around the neck at bedtime and having to kiss me 2x and then hug me.
* When the boys each take a hand vac and go crumb and bug hunting around the house.
* When we have a slow day and the boys join me in bed to watch cartoons in the morning.
* Watching Carson and Cooper "break it down" on our dance floor.
* Having supper on the deck with a nice breeze blowing.
* Sitting on the floor in our little nook reading piles and piles of books.
I know there will be many more joys experienced over the coming years, but these are joys that I will only be able to experience for a very short piece of time.
