Just Quick Points of Life

In these trying times it's best to remember the things that stay strong through it all, never changing, the things we can rely on. Through life these thing emerge waiting for us to find them and lay our burdens down upon them. These things help us to remember not to worry not to fret, but to realize that in the end these things always win over every trial, pain, harm, injustice, over all evil. We should focus and meditate on these things. These thing can't be destroyed or damaged, and never die. With these days of violence and pain, the riots and killing, it's important ton focus on these true righteous thing before us and look ahead into those wonderful day's and now while were here on Earth don't fret over the past. Those things exist in the past present and future.
This thing is GOD.

Let's Make a Tart (or at least something tarty?)

This afternoon I realized I've got a long way to go when baking things. We made a choco-raspberry tart (without the raspberrys) for dessert. The crust and filling looked fine, and it was after three hours in the fridge that we realized something was wrong. Take a look,
The Kroger magazine is probably computer generated because we followed the recipe exactly and it turned out to be a pile of glop that actually tasted quite good. We think the recipe called for too much cream...
Does three cups sound like too much?
I think I'm going crazy, a gallon equals a cup right?
Just kiddin'
See Ya L8R,

A few days ago we went to uncle Cory's house and saw the rest of our family👪. We have been working on our fort and are almost done with the deck🏠. I am to take our family to Laser Flash for Caydens birthday🏢.

Quarintine Coming To an END!

Hello Everyone,
Quarintine finally looks like it is coming to an end. Although it has been nice to have all this free time at home, i will finally be able to see all my friends. On Friday we are having a 'field day' so we will get to see everyone that hasn't dropped out. It will be nice to go to the library, park, grocery store and converse with people. Even though the effects will last into August and September, i can rest in peace knowing that in a few weeks a few chunks of normal(or a least a altered version of normal) will fall into place. I am glad that we got through this without anyone getting majorly hurt or sick. Thank the Lord that this country came out standing tall and strong, ready for a history making rebound.
It's Been Nice Doing This,

Day 57 with all of this craziness....

I may or may not have just sent over an hour tonight placing 60+ books on hold with our library. It has been 60 days since we have been to the library. I am pretty sure that is the longest we have gone since we traveled on our 10-week trip 2 years ago. It is one of the biggest things that the boys and I miss.

Our library is offering library book pickup starting Monday. We took advantage of that and are planning on replenishing our stock of books to read. It will be quite exciting to have new books in the house. Now, if only we can locate all the books that belong to the library that are currently at our house.......

Video Interview with Carson

Hello everyone, Hope you like this.

Day ??? Mom plz don't look

So many days have passed I can't even count them. You can only keep yourselves distracted so long. I  am trying to find gerber daisys for mothers day, if anyone has seeds or a gerber daisy plant that you don't want,  I will gladly except them. We wnt mushroom hunting and came up blank. i think it might be a bit to early. Cannot wait for summer.

We're going mushroom hunting

We are going hunting for morels
before the chime of the morning bell.
And suffering through the musty smell
and listening to finding in Carmel.
Glad that no ones felling unwell.
Awaiting the time when we could get on a carousel
and calls from the invention of Alexander Gram Bell
All because of a tiny morel

Such Good Weather

Such Good Weather,
it couldn't get better.
The sun's so clever
to produce such good weather.

The warm gleaming sun,
shines upon my hotdog bun.
Oh what great fun,
is that wonderful sun.

There blows a amazing breeze
that buzzes with the bee's.
It ruffles along the trees
carrying pollen that makes me sneeze.

Happy Quarantining!

OH SO RAINY!!!

Why oh why does it have to be so rainy
You think the sky would be more brainy
It's time to assign a brand new trainee
It's so bad you'd think they'd pay me
Don't you think you would not blame me
I have no more control than I do with a baby
Is that why it has to rain daily
It even bothers the dear old navy
and even if it seems so so plainly
I just think the sky's being lazy
Why oh why does it have to be rainy

???????

Day 30....THIRTY......3-0.......

The boys are sick of being home and dealing with mainly me.  I am sick interacting with mainly boys...... Being asked daily how much longer they have to stay home.

Grateful for the reprieve of them going downstairs to visit with Gaga ever so often.

Chris has found solice in the office. On good days he comes down for 1-2 hours on the evening for dinner and helping out with bedtime. On Sundays, he tends to find a way to spend the afternoon and evening with us.

This week:
Chance got a bloody nose from Chris accidentally kicking a soccer ball right at his face and a bloody lip from Cayden throwing a hard ball at Cooper and catching Chance's face instead.
The boys created a new game, bumper bikes. It lasted approximately 15 minutes before I had to stop them and give them the lecture about not being able to make a trip to the hospital right now.
Building forts with sticks in the backyard has been a creative outlet for the older 2 and a new item to destroy for the younger 2. Cooper has done well with keeping his patience having his firt repeatedly tore down.
The boys and I enjoyed a big tension scream tonight during supper. They realized mom could go a long time without a breath and scream louder than all of them. Poor Chance wasn't sure whether to laugh or cry when we started. By the end, he thought it was rather entertaining.

We were able to decorate some eggs (thanks to some friends dropping off some spare decorating kits).
We had surprise visitors and kept our distance when visiting.
Enjoyed several yummy smoothies.
Did some artsy stuff.
Had a pretty big hail storm.
Did some cutting of hair...
We are having fun making some good memories, while trying to stay healthy and safe and not drive each other insane!

Looking forward to Sunday and celebrating am empty tomb!!

Gardening, One of my Favorite Pastimes

Hi, Carson Here,
Dream Spring Garden!
It's Spring and the gardens are already starting to bloom! My daffodils, crocus, and hyacinth are all bursting and ready to bloom! Oh, how I love Spring. Yesterday we made a little fort in the woods. It is complete, it even has a floor of hand planted moss.
It was nice to see raspberry vines, spring onions, and the flourishing bushes. Tomorrow's APRIL FOOL'S! I'll post some images of my mischievous pranks. Hopefully no one gets hurt,😈. See y'all l8r.

Mom's log...

Mom's log, day 18:

We are very thankful that the weather is getting nicer. We have spent 2 hours outside today and will continue to do so until we have to go in to eat. The occupants are getting restless, but playing in the woods and building forts is doing them good. It is also helpful to get out of the house so Chris does not have all sorts of loud noises in the background when making calls. Just when we think this is doable and won't be too difficult, things happen... But the days seem to be getting easier. we got a bunch of our outdoor toys out this weekend when we had the nice weather. Our garden is almost ready to be planted in. Hammocks are up, the slackline is up, the trampoline is out, and best of all, nature is still all around us and we are not isolated from it!

Our new schedule (otherwise known as spring break)

Since for spring break is at home this year. We needed to set some kind of schedule up so that I don't go crazy and can actually still work with the older boys that are still doing school. Thought this would be good to document.

15th day of quarantine

This is our 15th day of quarantine😢. I played yahtzee, farkle, battleship, and sharades on zoom with my friends😃. We have started to do zoom for school💻.  The time has gone fast🕐🕔🕘🕟. The weather has been warm/sunny and a little rainy😃. I hope this ends soon⌛.

Day 15

Day 15,
Hello everyone, it's day 15 of our who knows how long social distancing😭. Trying to stay out of trouble 😈. Luckily it's sunny outside so we can play outdoors. My gardens are starting to pop up so I get to enjoy tending to them. We are still taking our daily medicine 💊, fish oil, elderberry syrup, and vitamin C powder are just part of it. School on Zoom©️
is uneventful other than the fact of actually having all our classes online. We are not used to it since our school is based on low screen activities (they want this(📐📚📝)not this(📵)). Since we only have school three days a week it's not to big of a change. We are having fun FaceTiming 📞 friends and doing virtual game nights. Exited to see friends again 😍 (hopefully soon)and spend some time in  the summer sun 😎 ,
Carson

Our regimen to stronger immune systems

There are so many theories out there about how to keep safe from this virus or the theory that there is no way to stay away from it or fight it....all we can do is keep our immune systems as strong as we can and rely on God to take care of the rest...oh, and of course, WASH OUR HANDS!!!

I wanted to document what we are currently doing for our records.

  • Diffusers:  We have diffusers in each bedroom, one in the kitchen, one in the office and one in the living room. I fill them up each morning and evening with the defense blend I make.
  •  Daily vitamins
  • On guard hand soap at every sink
  • On guard toothpaste
  • Probiotics
  • On guard softgels (adults and older 2)
  • Immune booster roller on spine 1-2x/day
  • 1000 mg L-vitamin C/day (powder form) will be upped if signs of sickness
  • 4000 mg (I think that is the measurement) of liquid vitamin D/day thanksfully getting more with the gorgeous days we have had this week
  • 2 drops of DDR prime
  • 1 teaspoon of elderberry syrup
  • 1T Omega-3 (2500 mg)
  • Smoothies that include (Baobab powder, collagen peptides, coconut milk, greek yogurt, & oranges...plus other things as we have them)
  • Eating as much fruit and veggies as we can find and afford on our limited grocery budget
  • Using up all of our stock of bone broth (still trying to make more to have sense it will be quite useful if one of us gets sick)
The upside to everyone being home is that we are able to actually get into a rhythm on doing all of the above.  It seems like a part time job some days getting all of this accomplished with everyone and some days only the boys make it through all of this.

Really no rhyme or reason as to how we have come upon all of this as our "system" through this time besides it is what we had on hand and had been doing already.

We have Gaga using a diffuser regularly, rolling the immune booster on daily, taking the elderberry and taking the high dosage of vitamin c.

If anyone happens to see this and has any tips or knowledge, I am all ears!!

2 weeks (14 days or 336 hours)....

2 weeks down, no clue how much longer to go....

Cayden starts spring break tomorrow, otherwise known as living life inside the house without school or assignments to do and praying the weather is nice enough to be outside for hours on end and keep most of our mess outside.

If one more person messages me or "shares" another special activity that I can do with the boys in all of our free time.......I don't know, but I am still waiting for this elusive freetime I keep hearing about to show up.  The first 7 hours of my day are spent going between 3 different desk stations with different kids.  2 are on Zoom classrooms 3 days a week and the other (up until tomorrow) has to be walked through online assignments that require typing, watching videos and taking pictures of work being done.  In between my rounds, there is trying to get another load of laundry washed, prepping lunch to be ready right at 11:45 (older 2 have a specific lunch break), regular house duties that have erupted with 6 people living here full time, oh.....and a 3 year old that has decided to "part time" potty train, learn how to whine about everything, decided to try the defiant thing, wants to eat all the time and walk around with his hands down the back of his pants.

Once school is officially over for the day, comes the snack time, homework, outdoor/extra energy time, suppertime, house blessings, baths, game playing, uploading homework to teachers for the next day, printing out schoolwork and quizzes for the next day, cleaning up dinner and exploding kitchen and then some quiet hangout time with the older 2.

Between job searching, consulting, helping out our church with live streaming, Chris has been spending 10+ hours a day in the office.....he is hopeful to start working with Cooper and Cayden on soccer a couple nights each week since they are missing their soccer season and he was going to finally get to coach Cayden's team.

We are thankful that Gaga is here to give a helping hand.  We have found ways to help fill her schedule up some.  She gives Cooper a private bible lesson on Monday.  Tuesday's bible lesson is with Carson.  On Wednesday, she listens in on History class with Carson from 12:30-2. Fridays are quite full.  She folds all of our laundry in the morning and sits in on another history class from 12:30-2.  We are having her join us for movie nights on Saturdays (this helps out with the fact that Chris isn't available on Saturdays because he is busy recording, editing and uploading the sermon for Sunday morning).

We have no clue how much longer this will last.  Looking forward to the day I can put all the electronics away again (2 desktops, 2 laptops, ipad and smart phone being relied upon daily) and get back to saying no screen time on school days....

Stay safe and STAY HOME😷😊

Day 8 of Isolation

Day 9

Hi, Carson here,
This my first post on the effects and change on our family, because of this pandemic, COVID 19. My three brothers and I have not left the house in 50+ hours! We have been washing our hands, playing board games, watching TV, washing hands, playing outside FaceTiming friends, washing hands, reading books, doing live online school with Zoom©️, and washing hands. We are bored out of our minds! Cannot wait till all this boils over.
     Carson Poore

Day 9 and counting.....

It was suggested that we have our kids journal to keep a memory of all the events currently taking place.  I spoke with the boys and we decided to "resurrect" our family blog.  Can't believe we haven't done anything on this since 2015!!!  Each boy is hoping to post something 2-3x/week.  It should be interesting!
