Little remembrances are the best!
I wasn't at home this morning because I was at a conference with Carson's teacher. I found this note that he left for me this afternoon while I was putting groceries away. I really hope the boys stay this thoughtful as they grow up!

1st day of school prayer
Mom's 1st Day of School Prayer
Here we are again, Lord.
Their backpacks are loaded and their faces are scrubbed.
And I know you'll walk with them, Lord.
You always do. But a mom still has to ask.
Will You walk with them?
Will You whisper to them what they need to hear, when I'm not there to whisper it?
Will You please, oh please, cover their school with the protection only
You can give, and will You keep harm far away?
Will You make their minds strong and ready to learn?
Will You help them understand that hard work honors the One who created them?
Will You guide their teachers, giving them patience and
wisdom and creativity and more patience?
Will You bless them for their efforts?
Will You love all those children there,
the ones whose lunch accounts aren't full, the ones who feel alone?
Will You teach my children to be kind and unselfish
and to love those who are different from them?
Will You point them back toward home just as soon as you can?
Lord, I give them to You today and everyday,
trusting them to Your care.
In Jesus' name, Amen.

Our unknown little boy....
Happy birthday little boy.
Although we never met you, although there is nothing legally binding you to us, you will always be considered a part of our family.
My prayer remains the same for you today as it was the day we lost you:
Lord, please watch over him. Please put Light into his life to guide him. Please keep the evil in this world from him and keep his heart pure.
We love you,
You FOREVER Family
A growing vocabulary!
Cayden has been on a roll of learning 1 word a day.
Monday it was doggie.
Tuesday it was owl.
Wednesday it was baby.
It is so amazing how quickly babies can pick things up!

9 month check up
We had Cayden's 9 month check up today.....yes, I know he is 10 months old....really trying to slow down the time!
19 lbs 11 oz
29 1/2"
I love how Dr. Edwards is always so blown away by his progress. She just seems in awe of him.
I hesitantly brought up the fact that we are wanting to avoid cow's milk with him for a while....fearful she would be full of questions. Her response: "that makes sense, cows do make milk for calves, not babies. There is no reason we need to make our babies drink that when they get good nutrition from their other food."
Yet again, God has confirmed our decision to stick with her. It is such a great feeling to leave a doctor's office feeling you were heard and taken seriously.

The good side of modern technology!
The boys got to enjoy story time at breakfast 2 mornings with Daddy while he was out of town in California......it did drive Cayden crazy because he couldn't figure out where Daddy was....but the boys loved it!!

Cooper's first tooth
Cooper lost his first tooth Saturday! Unfortunately it hasn't been seen, so we are going to have to write the youth fairy a letter and explain;)
For some reason he looks so much older without that little baby tooth!!!
Carson's sweet letter
I was away for 2 days at women's retreat this weekend. Unfortunately, I was unable to get in touch with the boys all weekend and check in, which can be quite disheartening. However, I was welcomed with this sweet little nor from Carson.

Another first
Today is the first day Cayden sat where he says goodbye to the boys for school and want happy when they left. He sat there literally telling for them for 5 minutes after they left.
He just kept starting at the front door thinking they were going to come back in anytime.....it was rather cute!
